Ten Must Own Games for Super Nintendo

Hundreds of games were released for Super Nintendo consoles during the lifetime. There are so many that it can be difficult to decide on what you buy for your collection. Below is a list of the top ten must have games for the SNES, and why they should be in your collection.
10th Donkey Kong Country – Play as Donkey Kong as he tries once again stole all his bananas done him right for stealing Peach Mario in the original Donkey Kong arcade game. The first game ever with pre-3D graphics we see for a SNES game it was really good. A fun game with lots of replay value, since there are several things to be collected in each level.

8th Tetris and Dr. Mario – Two great puzzle games on one cartridge. The classic Tetris with improved graphics (color) and virus-busting puzzle Dr. Mario. For puzzle fans, two of the best and are good for hundreds of hours of fun.
7th Starfox – This paved the way for the 3D games that we play all day. It was the first great game of 3D models for all the graphics used. You play as Fox McCloud and fly a space ship, shoot down enemies as you try to fly through hoops and defeat enormous bosses. 6th Super Punch-Out – The follow-up to Mike Tyson’s Punch-out on the NES. This game has better graphics, new characters and even appearances by your old favorites. The game is simply fun to play. Funny characters, a slow increase in difficulty, weaknesses to be learned. Enjoy this boxing game, especially if you played the original.
5th NBA Jam – “He’s On Fire”. Anyone who has played this game will remember this line from the announcer. Each time a player makes three baskets literally light on fire and shooting can make from anywhere. One of the original arcade style sports games where you push and hit other players and can not for the typical rules of basketball. See if you “Big Head” mode and other hidden easter eggs that can change your players look.

2nd Super Metroid – The sequel to the original game, Metroid for Nintendo. Super Metroid has to investigate more weapons, new areas and a more difficult bosses. Consistently in the many top 100 lists evaluated, it was the best game of all time “by Electronic Gaming Monthly rated. Its fantastic level design is often seen as a high point in the development of games.
1st Super Mario World – The launch game for Super Nintendo and the most popular game on the system in terms of sales. Super Mario World is the Mario game ideas from Super Mario 3, and adds better graphics, better sound and more levels. Yoshi makes his first appearance this game.
